Activity Information

Pick up guests, drive to Saddle Back Mountain Trailhead 1.5hrs one way which includes a short ferry ride on the Arrow Park Ferry.  Hike on and off trail for 5.5km one way 824m+ elevation gain to the lookout, relax and enjoy the spectacular views of Nakusp, Upper Arrow Lakes, Monashee, and Selkirk Mountain Ranges.  The trail ascends  to a rocky knob above the tree line. The right saddle was chosen as a Forest Service fire lookout because of the panoramic view of the surrounding peaks and valleys.

Descend the same way back to the vehicle to enjoy a well-deserved cold beverage and snack.  Drive back to Nakusp. Best months to visit to see the Wild Alpine Flowers is July/August.
